Objectives
PANORAMA focusses on personalized applications in the fields of localisation, communication, and GIS-Management Systems in the Alps. The target system provides an electronic way to communicate - instantly and precisely - e.g. warnings directly to ski mountaineers in areas with danger of avalanches. The purpose of PANORAMA is the definition and testing of possible fields of applications for risk monitoring, prevention of natural desasters and management of emergency calls and rescue operations.
Project Status
The project started on August 1st, 2004.
